Offset Opens Up About His Divorce from Cardi B in Upcoming Solo Album “Kiari”

As Offset gears up to release his highly anticipated solo album, “Kiari,” fans are set to get an intimate look into the rapper’s life, including his recent split from Cardi B.

The Migos star, 33, revealed in a recent interview with the Associated Press that the closing track of “Kiari,” titled “Move On,” is a heartfelt reflection on the end of his seven-year marriage to Cardi B, 32. “It’s about moving on, like, peacefully,” Offset shared. “That’s what the message is supposed to be, moving on peacefully.”

Cardi B officially filed for divorce in July 2024, marking the end of one of hip-hop’s most high-profile relationships. The couple previously reconciled after a 2020 split, going on to welcome two more children. Together, they share daughters Kulture, 7, Blossom, 11 months, and son Wave, 3.

Despite the breakup, Offset insists there’s no bad blood. “It’s all love, it’s peace,” he told AP, explaining why he chose “Move On” to close out the album: “It’s about ending that chapter. Because it’s like, just move on. It’s over and done with. It was great while it lasted. You know what I mean? That shouldn’t be the topic for neither one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of “Kiari” and the chance to hear Offset’s candid lyrics on “Move On.” The album drops Friday, August 22.

She added, “[Offset] sent text messages to somebody I was dealing with of videos of me and him having sex. That’s the kind of s*** that I was dealing with for the past two months.”

Offset has largely remained silent on the accusations, but days later posted on Instagram that he was “happy” for his ex.
