Opening up on his brave battle, Sanders revealed he did not even tell his NFL sons Sheduer and Shilo that he had cnc3r.
He said: āMy sons, to this day, donāt know what transpired, I just told them it was something with my foot, because I wanted to give them the focus on making the team and not focused on dad.

āAnd Iām sitting there waking up like my grandson. We in the same thing.

He encouraged men to go to the doctors, adding: āMen, everybody, get checked out, because if it wasnāt for me getting tested for something else, they wouldnāt have stumbled up on this.
āEspecially African American men, we donāt like going to the doctors. We donāt like nothing to do with a doctor.
āIām not just talking to the brothers ā Iām talking to my Caucasian brothers, my Hispanic brothers, my Asian brothers, my everybody ā and my sisters. Get checked out. Because it could have been a whole other gathering if I hadnāt.ā
