Donald Trump Reportedly Wants One NFL Team To Name Their Stadium After Him

Donald Trump has reportedly made a demand of the that would have a direct impact on their stadium construction plans.
The United States President has maintained interest in Commanders affairs and on Sunday. He has also urged the team to change its name back to Redskins, even threatening to block the $3.7 billion stadium deal.
Now, he wants them to name the new stadium after him.
Commanders Have Discussed Donald Trump’s Request

The NFC East side is set to construct a new arena on the old RFK Stadium site, where they played their home games from 1961 to 1996.
According to ’s Don Van Natta Jr. and , a source at the White House has revealed that there have been discussions with the Commanders’ ownership group about possibly having Trump’s name on the new team grounds in the nation’s capital.
“That would be a beautiful name, as it was President Trump who made the rebuilding of the new stadium possible,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told ESPN via email on Friday night.
Leavitt wouldn’t answer any questions from the network but, per the White House source, it’s very likely.

“It’s what the President wants, and it will probably happen,” they claimed.
The Commanders declined comment this weekend; however, a team source said the franchise has spent several days preparing for the President’s attendance on Sunday.
Trump will be at Northwest Stadium as the guest of owner Josh Harris and will participate in halftime activities to pay tribute to the military.
