Geno Smith’s Shocking Rant – Raiders QB Reveals Who We Should Blame For Team’s Embarrassing Loss vs. Cowboys [VIDEO]
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith didn’t hide his frustration on Monday night. The Raiders fell to 2-8 after a 33-16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at Allegiant Stadium. Smith walked into his post-game press conference fully aware of the criticism around the team and decided to address it directly.
He looked into the camera and gave an answer to all who questioned the team’s performance. “I know we’ve got a lot of Monday morning quarterbacks who like to watch film and take screenshots,” Smith said. He told everyone that he takes responsibility for anything that goes wrong.
“If something don’t look right out there, blame it on me.” He even joked that people could pin anything on him. “If your kids mess up at school, blame it on me. Car break down, going to work, blame it on me.”
Although his stats showed how tough the night was, he completed 27 of 42 passes for 238 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. The Cowboys controlled the game and kept heavy pressure on him all night.

The night grew heavier after the game because the Raiders also moved on from star wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. The team officially traded him, making the road ahead even tougher.
Reporters later asked Smith about the offense and whether he should have gone off script. He shut that down quickly.
“Would you just go off script and just start calling your own plays? I don’t think that’s the right way to go about it,” Smith said. He explained that he adhered to the plans Pete Carroll and the staff had laid out for the week. “The plays were there, guys were open.”

The problem was evident on the ground. The Raiders rushed for only 27 yards. Ashton Jeanty had six carries and gained only seven yards. The offense leaned on the passing game to move the ball at least. Brock Bowers led the team with seven catches for 72 yards. Tre Tucker scored the only receiving touchdown. Tyler Lockett and Jeanty added short gains underneath.
Smith still saw moments the Raiders could build on. “I thought we moved the ball up and down the field,” he said. But he also noted that they failed on third downs and in the red zone. Dallas opened the game up with three touchdowns in the second quarter and never slowed down.
The loss dropped the Raiders to the bottom of the AFC West. Only the Jets and Browns sit below them in the AFC standings. Las Vegas will stay home and face Cleveland on Nov. 23 as it looks for any sign of a turnaround.
