Amon-Ra St. Brown paid tribute to President Donald Trump after his first-quarter touchdown against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
Earlier this week, it was announced that President Donald Trump would attend the Commanders-Lions game at Northwest Stadium. The 79-year-old president is also lobbying the Commanders to name their new stadium after him.
After scoring a touchdown in the first quarter, Amon-Ra St. Brown pointed to Trump’s suite and performed the president’s signature “dance” move:

Well, Trump sure has to love that.
Coming into Sunday’s game against the slumping Commanders, Brown had 59 catches for 635 yards and seven touchdowns. Now up to eight TDs on the season, St. Brown has a chance to match or exceed the career-high total of 12 he recorded a year ago.
The Lions are in a three-way battle with the Chicago Bears (6-3) and Green Bay Packers (5-2-1) for the NFC North division crown. Detroit has one game remaining against each of their division rivals, including a Thanksgiving game with the Packers on Nov. 27.
Washington Commanders Star Daron Payne Ejected For Randomly Sucker Punching Amon-Ra St. Brown Right In The Face During Wild Scene With Donald Trump Looking On [VIDEO]
The frustrations of Washington Commanders star defensive tackle Daron Payne boiled over during Sunday’s home game against the Detroit Lions.
After Jahmyr Gibbs scored Detroit’s third touchdown of the game in the second quarter, a frustrated Daron Payne randomly went up to Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and punched him in the face:
Payne was ejected from the game, and Detroit opted to attempt a two-point conversion with the extra yardage. They made good on it to extend their lead to 22-10 over the unraveling Commanders.
Perhaps we’ll learn later why Daron Payne decided to punch St. Brown. Earlier in the game, St. Brown pointed to the suite holding Donald Trump and performed the president’s signature “dance” move after scoring a touchdown.
Maybe Payne took issue with the celebration. Or maybe he’s just losing his patience as the Jayden Daniels-less Commanders endure another humiliating blowout loss on their home field.
Payne is having a disappointing season for his own standards, too, with only one sack over his first 10 games of 2025. Still, there’s no excuse for clocking a guy right in the face fo no reason.
