Offset Opens Up About Cardi B in New Breakup Song. He never eats the food she cooks.

Offset Closes a Chapter with Vulnerability and Growth on New Album ‘KIARI’
Today marks a pivotal moment for Offset as he drops his third studio album, KIARI—a deeply personal project that sees the former Migos member open up like never before. Far from just another rap release, KIARI is a journey through Offset’s emotional landscape, touching on heartbreak, loss, and the hard-earned lessons of maturity.
The album’s closing track, “Move On,” stands out as a heartfelt reflection on ending a relationship “peacefully.” Offset doesn’t shy away from addressing his highly publicized divorce from Cardi B, candidly airing grievances about their time together. In a raw verse, he raps:
“You never listen to no rules / You never cook n***s no food / You just want go out to Nobu / Telling me sht that you don’t do.”
Offset’s words aren’t just about settling scores—they’re about letting go. He wishes Cardi B well in her future relationships, possibly alluding to her rumored connection with NFL star Stefon Diggs. In a recent interview with the Associated Press, Offset explained his intentions behind the song:
“It’s about moving on, like, peacefully. That’s what the message is supposed to be: moving on peacefully. It’s all love, peace. I just ended that up with the album, just to end that chapter of that sh*t because it’s like, just move on, it’s over and done with. It was great while it lasted. You know what I mean? That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”
Offset’s vulnerability doesn’t stop there. In a candid conversation with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, he owned up to his own mistakes in the relationship, admitting:
“I f*cked up. I gotta acknowledge that and then get back on the journey.”
He continued:
“I’ve accepted the actions I’ve done to cause certain situations to happen — I had to. But at first I didn’t. I was trying to act tough and like I didn’t give a f*ck at first. But the actions that I did in the time I was acting that way, I realized I was wrong. I realized I was wrong and had to get out of the way. I’m happy with everything and I want the best.”
KIARI is more than an album; it’s Offset’s emotional reckoning—a bold step forward, marked by honesty, closure, and a newfound sense of peace. With this release, Offset isn’t just turning the page; he’s closing the book on the past and starting a new chapter, ready for whatever comes next.
