He and his wife Grete confirmed nobody was seriously hurt in the accident.
RG3 wrote on X, “Just got in the worst car accident of our lives with my wife and kids in Fort Worth, Texas.
“Scary crash, ricocheted off the highway divider multiple times, blown both front tires.
“Thankful to God that my wife and kids are safe.”
Griffin III and his wife have three daughters.
Grete posted a photo of two of their girls in the back of an ambulance.
“Well we didn’t make it to Fort Worth,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Got into the worst accident of our lives but thankfully our kids are safe and okay, that’s all that matters.
“Robert and I are a little banged up but nothing a little love won’t fix.

“Got everyone checked out in the ambulance and kiddos are all well and healthy.
“I hit my head so will get a CT scan and Robert’s back is also getting checked out.”
RG3 and his family were traveling in the back of a Mercedes Sprinter.
They were on their way to Fort Worth for the ex-quarterback to cover Colorado against TCU.

The car they collided with suffered significantly more damage.
“It ended up being a 4-car crash and a woman in one of the cars was 22 weeks pregnant.
“She was taken to the hospital so please send some prayers her way.”
Griffin III won the Heisman Trophy during his time at Baylor.
He was the No.2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by Washington.
The quarterback also played for Cleveland and Baltimore before moving into media.
